Pa-O Student Nan Aye Myat Mon Wins Third Prize at ASEAN+3 Junior Science Odyssey

July 11, 2026. Nan Aye Myat Mon, a Pa-O student who represented Myanmar at the 11th ASEAN+3 Junior Science Odyssey (APTJSO-11), held in the Philippines from July 5 to 11, 2026, has won third prize.

Nan Aye Myat Mon lives in Naung Lone ward, Kyauktalonegyi Township, southern Shan State, and is the daughter of U Khun Kyaw Aye and Daw Nan Mya Nwe. She is currently a second-year student at Basic Education, Industry, Agriculture and Livestock High School No. 1 in Aye Thar Yar.

Selected by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Nan Aye Myat Mon competed as part of Myanmar’s delegation at the international junior science competition, going up against outstanding young scientists from ASEAN member states and the plus-three countries, and came away with third prize.

Nan Aye Myat Mon’s achievement at this international competition is a source of pride for Myanmar and the Pa-O community.
