State Social Affairs Minister Daw Nan Khan Lu Inspects Health and Education Projects in Mongpan

July 14, 2026. Shan State Government Social Affairs Minister Daw Nan Khan Lu, together with Shan State Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Sai Htun Sein, ethnic affairs ministers and state-level officials, inspected health and education projects in Mongpan town, southern Shan State, on July 14.

The Social Affairs Minister and delegation were warmly welcomed by Laikha Township People’s Representative (PR) U Khun Htun Lay and the Mongpan Township Women’s Affairs Association.

The Social Affairs Minister and officials then visited Mongpan Township Hospital, met with the Township Medical Superintendent and health staff, and reviewed the state of healthcare being provided to the public. They also encouraged patients receiving inpatient treatment, gave out supplementary nutritional food, and donated funds to the hospital, before giving guidance based on officials’ briefings.

They then visited Ward (2) Basic Education High School, meeting with teachers and students and touring the school to review teaching conditions, subject-specific practical demonstration rooms, and the school’s overall operations.

Based on officials’ reports, they provided school stationery, sporting equipment, donations and financial support, which were received by the headmistress and school officials.

Loilin Township State Hluttaw Representative Khun Thet Naing and relevant officials also accompanied the inspection trip.
