Sandaung Khan Village Committee Renovates Football Field to Meet National Standards

June 2, 2026. The village committee in Sandaung Khan is renovating the football field at the Pa-O National Multi-Sector Development Ground (Daung Thi Bwe Ground) in Naung Tayar town, Loilin Township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, southern Shan State, so it can be better used as a standard football pitch. Renovation work began on May 31, 2026.
The renovation includes leveling the field, planting and maintaining grass, improving drainage, and upgrading the infrastructure athletes need for training and competition.
The Sandaung Khan Village Committee said the renovation aims to develop youth sports in the area, produce healthier young people, and eventually create a field capable of hosting township, state and national-level competitions.
Local residents said they hope the upgraded field will boost sporting activity among youth and support regional development.
