Shan State Chief Minister U Sai Htein Zaw Tours Development Projects in Laikha Township

Shan State Chief Minister U Sai Htein Zaw, together with state ministers, traveled to Laikha Township, Loilin District, southern Shan State, this afternoon and toured local development projects there.
The Chief Minister was warmly welcomed by Pyithu Hluttaw Representative for Laikha Township Constituency U Sai Sein Win, Laikha Township State Hluttaw Representative Daw Nan Eik Kyi Moe, Laikha Township PR Constituency No. 2 Representative U Khun Htun Lay, departmental officials, the Beinhkara security unit, and local residents.
At 3:15 p.m., he visited a crop-drying facility and fertilizer-spreading operations in the fields of Makelan village, offering encouragement, inquiring about farmers’ work and agricultural development, and giving instructions on what was needed.
He then received a briefing from officials on maintaining Naung Khan lake, a 35-acre reservoir in Myoma village tract, and on water use by the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, giving guidance on meeting local residents’ water needs.
The Chief Minister then spoke warmly with local residents, offered oil lamps and clear water at the Maha Myat Muni pagoda, donated gold leaf and cash offerings, and departed to continue his tour.
