Pa-O Self-Administered Zone Leading Body Chairman Meets Residents of Done Lel Tan Village, Hopong Township; Inspects Coffee and Avocado Farms

Officials met with local residents and conducted a field inspection of coffee and avocado farms in Done Lel Tan village, Naung Laing Mu Hpate village tract, Hopong Township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, southern Shan State, this morning.

The field visit was joined by Pa-O Self-Administered Zone Leading Body Chairman U Khun Phoe Sein and members, Hopong Township Management Committee Chairman U Khun Thein Shwe and members, and regional and township-level departmental officials.

Officials first paid their respects to the abbot in Pon Eh village, Petram village tract, and offered donations.
They then discussed plans to build a monastery in Pon Eh village, inspected the proposed site and the progress of a new 120-by-30-foot school building for the post-primary school, and coordinated with the relevant departments to address remaining needs.

They then paid respects to the abbot in Done Lel Tan village, offered donations, and met with local residents.

At the meeting, the Leading Body Chairman said the visit was to learn about local residents’ needs regarding education, health, transportation and regional development, and to carry out the necessary work on the ground.

Local residents then raised their needs regarding regional development projects, and the Leading Body Chairman and officials coordinated with the relevant departments to address them.

The Chairman, members and officials then inspected the condition of Done Lel Tan village’s rural health sub-center.

They also inspected coffee and avocado farms cultivated by local residents in Done Lel Tan village, reviewing production, the development of farming suited to the area, and what is needed to improve residents’ socioeconomic life.
