Morgan Rogers and Elliot Anderson Set Record for Most Expensive English Transfers

Morgan Rogers, who moved to Chelsea, and Elliot Anderson, who moved to Manchester City, have set the record as the two most expensive English players in history during this summer’s transfer window. It is part of a summer transfer window in which clubs across Europe are investing huge sums of money in players.
The transfer window for the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A will close one day later than the Bundesliga and Ligue 1, which close on August 31 — closing at 11 p.m. British time on Tuesday, August 1. Clubs are continuing to carry out last-minute transfers before the deadline.
This summer’s transfer window has produced a season of intense financial competition among Europe’s major clubs, including Real Madrid’s purchase of Yan Diomande for €140 million.
